Nicole is a designer, illustrator and author who works across many fields, with a diverse mix of people. Starting out in book publishing in the nineties, she then stepped into the digital world - designing websites, animations and apps.
More recently her work has returned to publishing and into the physical space of interpretive design. Here she enjoys diving into writing and research, finding ways to engage with today’s diverse audiences and exploring sustainable ways of presenting. With her work there’s always a common thread and focus on telling and communicating stories, often with a strong connection to place.
Museum Victoria, Stephen Fry, City of Adelaide, City of Unley, Hardie Grant, the Art Gallery of SA, Campbelltown Council and most recently the Hahndorf Academy are some organisations she has or is working with.
Nicole wrote and illustrated her first book, ‘What’s Out There?’ in 2020 and particularly enjoys projects that connect people to place, learning more about our natural world along the way. She lives on Peramangk land in the Adelaide Hills with her family and animal menagerie, amongst the stringybarks and koalas.
